Dear Classmates;

Taking into consideration the continuing COVID-19 concerns, the SHS Class of 1970 Reunion Committee reached a decision to reschedule our 50-Year Reunion planned for September 12 & 13, 2020.  New dates are Sat., September 18, 2021 for main event at Shorty’s Back Forty and Sun., September 19, 2021.

Shorty’s has taken necessary safety precautions to host large groups by spacing tables, adding hand sanitizing stations and servers wear gloves & masks. However, attendees are not able to safely mingle, which puts quite a damper on a happy reunion atmosphere and the committee realizes that attendance could be drastically reduced.  Hopefully, these restrictions will ease over the next year and travel will be safer for out-of-towners.

We are disappointed that we cannot be together this September, but look forward to seeing you in 2021!

Our thoughts are with you and your families and we hope you are staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented health crisis.

Will our 50-year Reunion take place September 12 & 13, 2020?

Will it be safe to travel?

Will the Ohio mandate prohibiting mass gatherings be rescinded or modified?

Will our selected venues still be available?

These are questions the SHS 1970 Reunion Committee will review at the next meeting June 2^nd. Contingency plans will be discussed based on answers (if we have them) to these questions and the Committee will communicate the plans to you.  A final decision will be made by July 1^st     as to whether the Reunion will take place in September or postponed to a later date.
