To all of our Closest Friends and Deaf community,
As you well know DEAFinitely IT Inc. was founded by Karen Redrup and Helen Jones in 1992.
We have just been given the news that we have lost one of our founding interpreters Karen Redrup.
Karen kept in touch with as many of her friends as she could while fighting the battle against the disease that took her life. We know that she has touched so many people’s lives and we are proud of her for her accomplishments and the dedication that she made to her family, friends and the Deaf community. We here at DEAFinitely IT know how much she cherished each and every one of you.
I’m sure she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I never knew of her connection with our Start HS class but I got to know her during my years at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, when I contracted with DEAFinitely It, Inc., to provide Sign Language interpreting for our in and outpatients for many years. She was extrememely talented at ASL and provided many trainings for me and other hospital staff on deaf culture.
I had no idea she was ill or of her passing until seeing her info on our site here today. She was truly wonderful. Jim Brenizer, Holland, OH
