This saddens me as Doug was a kind and talented person, gone too soon. I was honored to sing in a quartet with him in high school at St. Paul's Luthern Church in downtown Toledo.  We were the "Medieval Carolers" and were all Start High Students:  Doug, myself, Bob Jarchow, and Mary Jo ?.  Rest in peace, servant of God.

I moved on Westway in 1962.  The first person I met was Doug Kahl and we have been friends ever since.  As with most of us distance from Saginaw to Toledo limited our contact. Sharon Duncan, Doug, and myself lived on the same block.  Doug's date of death, ironically, is Sharon's birthday.  As Sally says Doug was tremenously talented.  I will miss him
