I shook hands with Neil Armstrong and Bob Hope at age 17 in Wapakaneta, OH. One year at T.U. followed by 3 years on the beach in Santa Monica, CA led to 4 years in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller on the USS Enterprise from where I spent a lot of time in Hawaii, the Philippines, the Far East, Kenya, and Australia. After the Navy I attended San Francisco State University where I got a BA in Bus.Ad./Journalism. I was hired by CBS Radio in San Francisco and ended up with my own radio and TV show in Anchorage(with a season as a King Crab fisherman in Kodiak thrown in). I was then an actor with the Boston Shakespeare Co. and Center Stage in Baltimore. I moved to New York City where I did some off-Broadway before spending 2 years on "Another World", a year as a news editor with the ABC Radio Network, then toured Europe as Officer Krupke with the Broadway company of "West Side Story" (165 shows in 7 countries) where I spoke German and got a big piece of the Berlin Wall as it came down in Berlin. Returning to NY I appeared in James Joyce's "Ulysses" on Broadway with Roma Downey, then returned CA to host a radio program. In 1991 I became a Christian, took a Sabbatical and got my Masters of Divinity in Chicago, trained as a chaplain for a year in San Francisco, then pastored a church (while doing the morning show on an oldies station) in Athens, OH for four years, where I met and married my wife Lidiya, finally ending up as a Hospice Chaplain in Riverside, CA for the last 4 years and now am living in Redding, CA amid the Shasta County Alps and writing, while producing a radio show for a couple of Christian Networks. As a hobby I memorized 1st and 2nd Corinthians and have performed them as Paul the Apostle all over North America for the last 12 years, and am now memorizing Romans. In July I will return to West Hollywood where my agent assures me I will have ample voicework and maybe even some acting work! Life is a grand adventure!
